MEDIA CONVERTER AND RTU

Media converter and RTU with ETHERNET port and multiple outputs compatible with PUZZLE line communication and RTU modules.

The media converter and RTU, that are the components of the PUZZLE line (link), is a device that can be used in two different ways, or as a combination of both: the first one as a media converter- to change media in data communications networks- and the second one as RTU with digital input and output ports. The main access port is ETHERNET, and on the other end, one or two RS-232, RS-485, ISOLATED RS-485, RF or opto-isolated DIGITAL input or output ports. The base module does not include any port installed.

The base convertor has two expansion ports, each of which can be used to install the desired input/output module.

According to the selected configuration, simple or double port equipment can be obtained, being independent one from the other. The converter has a LANTRONIX ENGINE. It can be configured via WEB, TELNET or with proprietary free software. It can be simple or double, being each port independent one from the other.

Remote access to the device is performed using several protocols, and administration via web, SNMP, Telnet or with proprietary free software. It can also be configured as a VIRTUAL COM port, using the free COM PORT REDIRECTOR software utility.

It is designed to be mounted on a DIN rail. It has an external power connection (9Vdc to 36Vdc range).

PUZZLE philosophy is a line of communication products and RTU that allow interchanging and replacing all of its parts in a simple, practical and economical way, adding functionality and dynamics in a puzzle like way.

Products have their main internal modules- that can be easily replaced- and multiple interchangeable communications ports.
