ANALOGICAL MODEM

(GN-MDM-A)

Analog communications modem for conventional telephone lines (PSTN) with surcharge protection and line indicator, with interchangeable communication modules with PUZZLE line.

The analog modem - which is integral part of PUZZLE LINE - is used to establish long distance data communications keeping low communications costs. It is a reliable alternative, widely used for many years.

This device has important innovations compared to the traditional modems: line protection, line presence indicator, and multiple communication ports, compatible with PUZZLE LINE RS-232/RS-485 (with or without isolation) USB/ETHERNET. The base module does not include any port installed.

It is mainly used in long distance data links, to cover tele-reading and tele-control requirements, especially in SCADA type systems. The quality of its parts and components, as well as its specifications, makes it an industrial solution.

It is compatible with Multitech AT commands. It supports, besides, the following speed standards: V.92/56K, V.34/33.6K and V.22bis/2400bps. It supports V.34/33.6K or V.17/14.4K for fax. It is compatible with V.44 and V.32bis in data compression and V.42 for error solving.

It has status light indicators and external dip-switches for a quick and easy configuration. It is designed to be mounted on a DIN rail. It has an external power connection (9Vdc to 36Vdc range).

PUZZLE philosophy is a line of communication products and RTU that allow interchanging and replacing all of its parts in a simple, practical and economical way, adding functionality and dynamics in a puzzle like way.

Products have their main internal modules- that can be easily replaced- and multiple interchangeable communications ports.
